The Pirates of Pooped-out

Our family recently attended the annual Fall Harvest Program at the school of my grandson, Daniel. All of the children were dressed in varying degrees of pirate attire. We watched as precision perfect songs of joy emanated from their excited little faces. Truly uplifting!

Slowly, however, as the evening progressed you could see the stoic shoulders of the little ones begin to slump from fatigue. Pirates and Pirettes began to squirm in their seats and flop their heads back and forth.

We watched in amusement as one little fellow (who looked more like an Amish farmer than a pirate) played with his beard until it protruded from his left ear. Daniel took the 'pirate hook' off his hand and picked his nose and ears with it. He also began chewing on his 'dreadlocks.' Actually, the floppy heads, strange beards, hooks and dreads became quite entertaining, not only for the children, but for the spectators as well:-)

Good Job, Macon Road Baptist School!
