It all started with a little dog named Dixie...you see I was supposed to be "Grammy" to all my grandbabies...and I guess you could say I was for a while...except for the fact that, at the time, my 'grandbaby' had 4-legs:-) Then along came Daniel, my son's firstborn, and (Bless His Heart) he could not form the sound of the hard G...and thus began the Adventure!

Climbing Family Trees
We just returned from a great visit to San Antonio to see our Riggs/Cruz relatives. Stefanie and her crew provided us with a place to stay (Thank you, Landon, for giving up your bedroom). Tim cooked delicious catfish Friday evening and Jessica brought cheesecake sopapillas that were heavenly! We had a blast!
On Saturday, we drove out to Al's and Janet's house. Watched some of the Longhorns game before meeting at Los Barrios for dinner with Mike, Sue, Troy, Kristi, Katelyn, Matt and Kathy from the Riggs Branch of the Family Tree and Brian, Jessica, Kenzie, Stefanie, Tim, and Landon from the Cruz Branch of the Family Tree. Travis and I are the 'nuts' in the middle!
On Sunday, we headed back out to Al's for a pot luck dinner. We looked at old pictures and read all the entries in a family bible that dates back to the early 1900s. Amazing information....
I Believe I Can Fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky....
Guess what, folks? I didn't get the screaming me-mes when Travis and I flew to San Antonio last Friday.
I wore my pink rosary and prayed a lot on take-off and landing. For those of you who do not know this - I am Catholic when I fly. At all other times I am Methodist. By the way, some of the prayers are the same;-)
